Bring 1,500 points of mid-war troops, please. Please include the nationality of your troops when signing up, too. And don't forget the army's history, too, there's points to be had there.
SIGN UP DEADLINE is 1700, 23 Aug 13, or until all 10 slots have been filled, whichever comes first.
Location: 3416 Wake Forest Road, Raleigh, NC
Event: Southern Front, Triangle Simulation Society's Fall convention. The tourney is free, SF requires an entry fee to cover the costs of the facility. I am an unpaid volunteer.

There's a point for timeliness in submitting entries:
On Time:
A player gets this point if they submitted a legal force list on time. This makes the organiser’s job so much easier.
There will be 5 tables and we'll be playing 4 rounds. Each round will last 2 hours, with wins+victory points being used. The BF guidelines and rules for awarding points by fair play, generalship, etc, will be used (I have their tournament software ready to go).
EDIT: Schedule Change Made On 23 Aug:
Saturday, 7 Sep:
Dress Parade between 0800-0900
Round 1 will be Saturday morning, 0900-1100

Scoring:
A well-balanced tournament scoring system encourages gamers to have fun and explore all aspects of the hobby, from gaming and painting to a little historical research. A gamer’s score is based on three factors:
1. Generalship 60 percent
2. Historical Army 20 percent
3. Sporting Play 20 percent

Re: Southern Front FoW Tournament
"Army History" defined:
Formation and Battle Identified:
A player gets these two points by identifying division, brigade, or other formation it represents and the battle that it fought at. This does not need to be detailed. Simply stating that this force is from the 3rd Armoured Division during Operation Cobra in July 1944 is enough to get these two points.
Platoons Identified:
A player gets this point as a bonus if they provide more detail about the identity of their force, for example by identifying the company that they are fielding and the source of the supporting platoons, e.g. the Tank Company is George Company, 32nd Armoured Regiment, and the Armored Rifle Platoon is 1st Platoon, Charlie Company, 36th Armored Infantry Battalion, etc.

Re: Southern Front FoW Tournament
Ok, I just had a look at game set up with an eye to the time it takes to do.
I ask now, if you're coming to play in the tournament that you take care to be accurate in your set up, but to also be expedient with your set up time so that there's more game play than administrivia going on in your allotted time.
That being said, I'm expanding the game time to 2 hours with 15 minutes in between.

One probable Russian, one definite German so far.
I'd like your lists by the 1st of September, please, that gives me enough time to get everything typed in and the initial printing done.
